LIBF Africa Calling
The LIBF Summit took place from 19th to 22nd March 2023 at the Speke Resort & Conference Centre in Kampala, Uganda. This event centered around Africa's potential, particularly focusing on the opportunities in East Africa. It successfully promoted cross-border business, investment, and services among attendees.
The forum highlighted the remarkable economic growth in the region, with 10 of the world's top 20 fastest-growing economies being African. Kenya's growth rate of 5.5%, Uganda's historical 7% growth, Tanzania's 4.9% growth, and the expected 6.3% growth in the DRC were key points of discussion. The summit also emphasized Africa's young demographic, with 70% of sub-Saharan Africa's population under the age of 30, as well as the continent's abundant natural resources, including precious metals, oil, and minerals.
